I have been coaching with the Flames for 7 years now, this is my second year as the head coach after being the Defensive Coach for 3 years, and prior to that spent 2 years as the Forward Assistant Coach.   I have been coaching minor hockey for both my sons since they have started playing 6 years ago, and they are following in my footsteps as they are both playing at the Burnaby Winter Club where I played as a kid.  While I was there my AAA teams won 2 Provincial Championships, and represented B.C. in the Purolator Cup in 1991 as a Bantam AAA player, before leaving to start my Junior hockey career.  I played 4 years in the PIJHL 3 of those with the Abbotsford Pilots, where I was voted the leagues best defenceman.  My fourth year as a twenty year old I played for the Langley Thunder  Jr. A team as well as,  the Ridge Meadows Flames where we won the PIJHL Championship and also won the bronze metal at the Keystone Cup.  Two years after playing junior hockey, I married my wife Tanya, and after 12 years we are still the busy parents of Hunter (13 years old) and Tanner (11 years old), and consider ourselves the ultimate hockey family.  I have completed my Developmental 1 Coaching Level as well as my Coach Stream Coaching Level, as well as keeping my hockey first aid up to date.
